  1. Stacey Says:

my cat duder, who i have just lost. was the most loyal cat ever he would follow me from room to room try and get in the bath with me, he would wake me up everyday scratching at my bedroom door. he was very easy to littler train i think he had 2 ‘mistakes’ but if u just keep showing them where it is they will want to go there they are very Clean. he was a indoor cat and maybe he did smell but i didn’t smell it. no one ever said anything (and i did ask) as for bitten he did bite my brother in a playful way but he never did with me i was more for cuddles. oh and keep the food as far away from the litter as you can like other room if its possible. they wont mess near there food. i think you should get a cat my baby just died yesterday and he was only 3 but every day he made me happy and i can never thank him anuff for being in my life even tho it was only for a little while.

in your case, i would get an adult from a shelter. they will help you find an already trained cat.

kittens are easily trained, but not recommended for someone who has never done it before.
if you get a kitten, get one at least 12 weeks old. one where you can meet mom at least 4 weeks before you take yours home. if mom was raised in as normal house with normal people and had access to a litter box, she will teach the kitten to use the litter box. all you have to do is watch mom and see if she leads the kittens to the food and litter box.

cats can not be trained. they will let you think you are training them, but they will train you.

cats are only loyal as long as you have food.

cats seldom run away, probably got it by a car.

cats never stink, unless sick. or you are too lazy to clean the litter box.

cats usually only bite if they can not use their claws. if you really up set her and restrain her, she will bite.
cats give a lot of warning before they attack. hissing, growling, punching (swipe with front paw with out the claws). leave her alone when she wants to be left alone, and you will not get bit.

If u put a cat in its litter box and whipe its bum with a wet cottenball it will then forever know where to potty. It all depends on where the cat comes from. If u get a cat spayed to early it will not be to nice. I advise u to let your cat go thru one heat or let it have one litter and then it will be nicer. I did this and after my cats first litter it was an angel and amazingly loyal and lovey. it is also better to get it very young. If u change the litter they wont smell. some cats bite just like dogs it depends on the owner. i am 13 and i have had up to 7 cats and i have saved one kittens life. i know have four cats one mama and 3 babies with me now. you should get one cat about a year old unspayed and let it go thru one heat or have one litter.

Properly socialized cats are loveable pets.

It is usually not too difficult to litter-train cats. They instinctually want to bury their waste. Provide them with a nice clean place to do so. If you notice your cat is going to the bathroom in one particular place, move the litterbox there.

They do not smell if you keep their litterboxes clean.

Whether or not the cat bites, depends on the cat in question. In my life, I have only had one cat that actually bit people. It was my first one, when I was 5 years old. It is possible that He may have been taken from his litter too soon, and he surely wasn’t socialized properly.

My cat has only bit me one time after I picked her up after she was vaccinated. Her vet said it was because she was sore.

edit: my cat was spayed at 8 months old and she is a doll. she has never had a litter, it is a myth that you must let your cat have one so that it will be sweet. There was no way I was letting my cat contribute to the overwhelming pet population and now that I know she has a genetic condition, it is even more important that I got her spayed before she reproduced. Kittens might have killed her and at the very least, she would have been at risk of passing on her genetic problems.
